Citrus, grapefruit, lemon, gooseberry and lime along with grass, freshly-wet concrete, honey, passionfruit and honeysuckle flower.
Very aromatic, with plenty of floral, lychee, grapefruit and grassy notes. A nice balance of acidity and sweetness make this luscious blend a perfect pairing for shelfish and lightly spiced dishes.
46% Gewurztraminer, 34% Chardonnay, 13% Sauv Blanc, 7% Semillon
Aromatic, complex and clean, this wine offers primary fruit notes of bruised pear, ripe orchard fruit and golden plum, all complimented with a delicate vanilla bean, baking spice and toast note. Long balanced finish, with fresh acidity.
A first for us here at Desert Hills, We took the Pinot Gris from our estate Three Boys Vineyard and combined it with some Gewurztraminer from our Sage Brush Vineyard on the Black Sage Bench. The fruit was pressed and transferred to 2nd Fill French Oak barrels for fermentation.
Aromatic, and crisp, with a beautiful nose of candied ginger, rose water and stone fruit. The gravel loam soil is apparent, with distinct chalky minerality notes on the off dry palate. Zero malolactic fermentation, makes for bright acidity that balances the sweetness perfectly.
Aromas of bright strawberry and tart rhubarb with a subtle savory quality; dry, with flavours that mimic the aromatics; the natural balance of fruit, acid and body make this wine both interesting and pleasing through the finish.
