2020 Desert Hills Cabernet Franc

Our 2020 Cabernet Franc is a ripe, earthy and structured wine with artfully articulated red and black fruit, fresh tobacco, and loads of roasted red pepper on the finish. Food-friendly acidity and perfectly pitched oak spice. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.

This Cabernet Franc is from our Sagebrush vineyard located on the Black Sage Bench (35%) and our Osoyoos Vineyard (50%). The fruit was hand harvested and carefully sorted before being destemmed. Fermentation proceeded steadily in a stainless steal tank using a combination of indigenous and cultivated yeast. Cabernet Sauvignon was added prior to bottling (15%) to provide more tannin and structure. The wine then spent 16 months in 10% new French oak to mature.
