TASTING NOTES

Co-fermented with viognier to help lift the nose and add structure. Medium to full bodied, boasting beautiful floral notes, spicy herbs, and smoky white pepper. Plenty of finesse and very expressive. Tart blackberry fruit and soft oak spices build towards a lingering mineral driven finish.

WINEMAKING
Syrah was taken from three of our vineyards, a portion destemmed whole berry, a whole cluster
portion, and a co-ferment portion with small percentage of Viognier, all of which were fermented
seperately, then blended together. Foot trodden whole cluster, gentle daily punchdowns for the first
few weeks, followed by daily pumpovers. Pressed off to age in a mixture of new and older French oak
barrels. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
