Like his brothers, Randy learned the art of growing great grapes toiling in the vineyards themselves. 16 years after the very first vintage, Randy's passion and dedication for crafting award winning wines have not faultered. He has passed that onto his son Rajen & the second generation that will carry Desert Hills into the future.

Unlike Randy, who has taken on more of the business role in the organization, Jesise still finds his joy in the vineyards. Managing over 80 acres under vine, Jessie & Anthony ensure that Desert Hills remains an innovator in vineyard managment & viticulture practices. The brothers strongly believe that wine is grown, not just made. That belief is very evident in Jessie's care for the estate vineyards.

The youngest of the brothers, Dave looks after all things bottling, labeling, warehousing & shipping. His attention to detail ensures that the quality of Desert Hills wines extend all the way to bottle & finally delivery.
Owner Ursa Major Estate Winery / Cellarhand
Rajen is the second generation of Toor to enter the wine business. He learned the craft from his father & the passion came from years of immersement and his own label Ursa Major, started in 2016. When not pouring wine, he can be found in the cellar with Anthony.
Shawna came to Desert Hills as a close friend & since has become one of the family. Running all things business, her dedication & passion make her invaluable. She is the cheerful voice at the end of the phone & warm smile when being greeted in the wine shop
Anthony's dream to be a winemaker drove him to sell a successful business, return to school & move to the Okanagan. Years later, he has come to us as one of the most respected winemakers in the province. He is an invaluable and exciting addition to the Desert Hills family.
Steven joined the team in 2018 as a lover of great wine and food. As a former chef in Toronto, ON, Steven learned about the ins and outs of hospitality and tourism before giving up the restaurant life to persue a career in wine. Now he is managing events and making sure everyone is up to date on any news at the winery.
Patrick joined our team in late 2017, executing the annual Harvest Dinner. Seeing bright success in the food culture, He has been embracing his efforts for our brand new Black Sage Bistro, it's only the beginning.
